Yes. SIA Books runs in your own environment. Your receipts, bank statements, and reports never leave your machine or your private cloud. No multi-tenant shared database. No data harvesting. You can audit every line of code.
How is this different from QuickBooks?
QuickBooks charges $90+/month, forces you to use their UI, and gets more complicated each year. SIA Books is purpose-built for solo operators — flat pricing, transparent code, your data in your folder, AI that handles the boring work. Roughly the cost of three coffees per month to run.
What banks does the importer work with?
Any bank that exports CSV statements. The AI detects the column layout automatically — Relay, Chase, Mercury, Bank of America, Wise, Wells Fargo, Capital One, etc. Bring any CSV, it figures out the schema.
How much does the AI cost to run?
Receipt OCR costs roughly $0.01-0.03 per receipt via the Claude API. A small business processing 50 receipts a month spends under $2/month on AI. Pricing is pay-as-you-go, billed to your own API account.
Can I export everything if I leave?
Yes — everything lives in Excel spreadsheets in your folder. There is nothing to export because nothing is locked in. You can hand the folder to any accountant and they can read it without our software.
